How to Use a Stroke Story Paint-by-Numbers Kit
Stroke Story kits are designed to be simple. No setup, no extra tools, no experience needed. You open the box and start painting.
Here is exactly how it works.
What’s in the Box
Each Stroke Story kit includes:
-
A pre-mounted paint-by-numbers canvas
-
Numbered paint pots
-
Paint brushes in different sizes
You do not need anything else. No frame, no easel, no additional supplies.
Step 1: Find a Comfortable Spot
Place the canvas on a flat surface like a table or desk. Natural light helps, but it is not required.
Many people paint at the kitchen table, a desk, or a quiet corner of the living room. You do not need a dedicated space.
Step 2: Match the Numbers
Each section on the canvas has a small number. Each paint pot has the same number.
Match the number on the paint pot to the number on the canvas section. That is the color you use for that area.
There is no correct order. Start wherever you like.
Step 3: Paint One Section at a Time
Dip the brush lightly into the paint and fill in the numbered section.
Small strokes work best, especially in detailed areas. There is no need to rush or paint perfectly.
Most people paint for 30 to 60 minutes at a time and stop when they feel like it.
Step 4: Take Breaks and Continue Later
You do not need to finish the painting in one sitting.
You can stop at any point, close the paint pots, and come back later. The canvas is designed to be continued without preparation.
Step 5: Let It Dry
Once finished, let the canvas dry completely. This usually takes a few hours.
Avoid touching the surface while it dries.
Step 6: Hang or Display Your Painting
The canvas is already mounted, so it is ready to hang or display once dry.
Some people hang it immediately. Others place it on a shelf or lean it against a wall. Both are fine.
Tips
-
Rinse your brush between colors and dry it lightly
-
Close paint pots after use
-
